Paediatric Collective Terms of Use
Last updated: September 2026
1. About this website
The Paediatric Collective website is an information and referral platform designed to help families, referrers and professionals connect with independent practitioners.
Paediatric Collective provides information about practitioners and allows referrals and enquiries to be submitted for consideration.
Use of this website or submission of a referral does not itself create a clinical, therapeutic or professional relationship between you and Paediatric Collective.
Information published on this website is general in nature and is not a substitute for individual professional, medical or clinical advice.
2. Referral pathway
Submitting a referral through Paediatric Collective does not guarantee that a practitioner will accept the referral, that a particular practitioner will be available or that a particular service will be suitable.
Paediatric Collective may use information submitted through the referral pathway to identify and connect you with an appropriate independent practitioner.
Once a practitioner accepts a referral, the practitioner will generally contact you directly regarding their services, availability, fees, intake requirements and any further information they require.
Any decision to engage a practitioner is between you and that practitioner.
3. Independent practitioners
Practitioners listed on the Paediatric Collective website are independent practitioners operating through their own businesses or practices.
They are not employees, partners or agents of Paediatric Collective.
Each practitioner is responsible for their own:
- professional services and clinical decisions
- fees and billing
- appointment management
- service agreements and consent processes
- professional registration, accreditation or membership requirements, where applicable
- professional indemnity and other insurance
- privacy and confidentiality obligations
- clinical and business records
- complaints relating to their professional services.
Any clinical, therapeutic or professional relationship is formed directly between you and the relevant practitioner.
4. Professional registration and standards
Practitioners within the Paediatric Collective represent different professions.
Where a profession is regulated, practitioners are responsible for maintaining the registration and professional requirements applicable to that profession.
Where a profession is not regulated by AHPRA, practitioners may be subject to requirements of another professional association, accreditation body or regulatory framework.
Paediatric Collective does not represent that every practitioner listed on the website is registered with AHPRA.
Concerns about the professional services of an independent practitioner should generally be directed first to that practitioner or practice and, where appropriate, to the relevant professional, regulatory or complaints body.
For health-service complaints in Queensland, the Office of the Health Ombudsman may also have jurisdiction depending on the circumstances.
5. Practitioner information
Paediatric Collective takes reasonable care when publishing practitioner profiles and information.
Practitioners are responsible for providing accurate and current information about their qualifications, services, areas of practice, registrations and availability.
Information displayed on the website may change without notice.
Listing a practitioner does not constitute a guarantee that the practitioner will be suitable for
every individual or circumstance.
6. Fees and funding
Independent practitioners determine their own fees, billing arrangements and accepted funding methods.
References on the Paediatric Collective website to Medicare, NDIS, private funding or other funding arrangements do not mean that every practitioner accepts every funding type or that a person will be eligible for funding or reimbursement.
You should confirm fees, funding options and payment arrangements directly with the relevant practitioner before commencing services.
7. Privacy
Personal information submitted through the Paediatric Collective website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Independent practitioners are responsible for information they independently collect and hold through their own practices.
8. Third-party websites and systems
The website may contain links to independent practitioner websites, booking systems or other third-party services.
These third-party websites and services are operated independently of Paediatric Collective and may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Paediatric Collective is not responsible for the operation, availability, security or privacy practices of third-party websites or platforms.
9. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, content on the Paediatric Collective website, including text, graphics, branding, logos and website material, is owned by or licensed to Paediatric Collective and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or republish our content without permission except where permitted by law.
Independent practitioners retain ownership of material they provide to Paediatric Collective where applicable, including their professional biographies, photographs and other original material.
10. Website availability and changes
Paediatric Collective may update, modify or remove website content at any time, including practitioner listings and information about services.
We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Paediatric Collective is not responsible for the independent professional services, clinical decisions, advice, acts or omissions of practitioners listed on the website.
To the extent permitted by law, Paediatric Collective excludes liability for loss arising from use of or reliance on general information published on this website or from interruption or unavailability of the website.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
I would have your solicitor specifically review this section. Liability exclusions are one area where I wouldn’t rely on website drafting alone.
12. Changes to these Terms
Paediatric Collective may update these Terms of Use from time to time.
The current version will be published on our website with the date it was most recently updated.
13. Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
Any dispute relating to these Terms or use of this website will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, subject to any applicable law that provides otherwise.
